Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is the combined collaboration with horses, a licensed therapist and an equine specialist working with individuals to address various individual psychotherapy goals. This unique process enables individuals to learn about themselves and others by actually participating in activities with the horses, and then processing/discussing feelings, behaviors and patterns with the therapist.

Shepard Meadows partners with two licensed clinical social workers (LCSW) who have their own private practices. Insurance is accepted in most cases, but there may be an additional fee for the equine specialist.

Please call or email us for additional information. All sessions are private and confidential.

It’s magical. Working with horses restores you to your deepest self, and cultivates what’s best in it. These wonderful animals can change your attitude to the world around you.  From Chris Irwin’s ‘Horses Don’t Lie’
