Laura grew up in British Columbia, Canada where she became involved in horses at age 12. She was active in Pony Club - ultimately achieving her “A” rating and establishing a strong foundation in horsemanship, riding, and life skills. This has resulted in a lifetime of competing in 3-day eventing, teaching riding lessons and training horses.

Outside of her equestrian life, Laura recently retired from a professional nursing career culminating as a Certified Oncology Nurse which deepened her empathy and her caregiving expertise.

Laura’s unique blend of teaching skills both with humans and equines, her love of horses, and her people skills are a great benefit to the team. In her free time she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and hacking her best friend Oliver through wooded trails.
