About the event
Our popular Equine Care Series is back with a summer edition! Join us for a three-part series on all things horse. You’ll learn tips on managing health, condition, behavior, and more through warm weather and all that comes with it, presented by SMEC’s Training Manager, Laura Patrick. Each talk will cover a different topic. Come to 1, 2, or all 3!
June 12th – Managing Summer Conditions (nutrition, hydration, insect control, health concerns, etc.)
June 24th - Basic Equine Anatomy & Hoof Health (how anatomy affects movement, common hoof problems, etc.)
July 10th - Tack Fit & Horse Behavior (basics of tack fitting, signs of discomfort, hands-on demo, etc.)
No horse experience necessary; all levels welcome! (Ages 14+)
